Basically, the Windows Registry is a database used to store system and program settings.
So, for an example, let's say a particular program gives you the option of setting its font. You select a font on its font selection screen and hit OK. When you hit the OK button, *most* kinds of software will make an entry into the registry. Next time you run the program, it retrieves the information you set, in this case the font style.
If you would like to check up on where you or someone else has been surfing you can do so by checking out Internet Explorer's History files.
You can either Ctrl+H on your keyboard or click on the yellow star and then the History Tab.
If you click on Today for instance a list of where you have been will appear: The same applies to 2 weeks ago, last week etc. If you want to know what you did on a particular site- click on it to expand it. It should be noted if you have a tick in Delete browsing on exit in Internet Options then you will not have any history to go back on.
Start by going to the Control Panel A window will open with your options, Select Appearance and Personalization. Choose Display Select Make text and other items larger or smaller. You can then select a larger size for the items displayed on your screen. The following tips are from Cyn's Tech Tips and are used by permission Creating a document in Windows is easy. If you've upgraded from Windows 7 or 8.1 and had a word processor like Microsoft Word installed, it's still there. Or you can use Windows 10's built-in word processor WordPad. Just type WordPad in the search box and click on the result. You may be surprised to find how much WordPad is capable of doing. When you first open it up, you'll see it looks very much like early versions of Word. Open a new document and you'll see that you have the standard choices for font and font size. Just click the drop-down menu to change. There are options to make the text Bold, Italic and Underlined as well as Strikethrough and Subscript and Superscript Options. Plus color options. You'll see formatting options for Indentations, Lists & Bullet Points and Line Spacing. Plus your choice of Left, Center, Right and Justified alignment. You can also insert pictures into your document, add drawing from Paint, add Date & time and insert objects. It also offers editing options like Find, Replace and Select all. For many people, WordPad provides all the word processing power they need The following tips is from Cloudeight Info and is used by permission
